Doctoral degree: Gene Expression Profiling and Adjuvant Systemic Therapy Decision-Making in Early Stage Breast Cancer
In the first part of this thesis, we describe the use of adjuvant systemic therapy in Dutch breast cancer patients in recent years and study the extent to which treatment guidelines for adjuvant systemic therapy were complied with.
In the second part of this thesis, we study how gene expression profiling was used for Dutch breast cancer patients, how it influenced the use of chemotherapy and decision-making about chemotherapy in Dutch breast cancer patients.
In the last part of this thesis, we study to what extent subtyping in molecular categories based on clinicopathological factors is consistent with a same subtyping based on a gene expression test.
