The objective of the 6-week elective health law internship is to introduce students to a part of health law they are interested in. The subject will be chosen in consultation with the lecturer.
Contents
The Framework Plan 2009 stipulates that health law education is a permanent part of the Medicine program. A lot of medical continuing education courses organized according to the CanMeds model pay attention to health law.
An example
A student wanting to become a general practitioner researched case law regarding the duty of professional confidentiality of general practitioners. A student who wants to be admitted to the pediatric care program recently researched disciplinary proceedings in various disciplinary tribunals regarding pediatricians in relation to child abuse and reports to the AMK reporting center. Where possible, this is a personalized internship.
Methods
Answering a research question formulated by the lecturer, with appropriate argumentation, by studying the literature, case law and legislation. This requires an ability to find information in laws, case law and legal literature.
