The Julius Center can be characterized as a matrix organization with four departments, four research programs and four special research themes and affiliations. The departments are: Biostatistics and Research Support, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Innovation and Evaluation and Medical Humanities (PHM), and General Practice
Biostatistics and Research Support
The Biostatistics and Research Support department uses professional knowledge to improve the quality of research.
The Epidemiology department focuses on international research and education in the field of clinical epidemiology, which studies factors related to the occurrence of diseases or complications.
Health and society
The PHM department consists of three disciplines: Public Health, Healthcare Innovation and Evaluation and Medical Humanities. The focus is on public health and medical interventions in society.
The General Practice department focuses on the development of primary academic healthcare.
